About Abiah Pengry
I came across Abiah's grave while I was researching my Pingrey family in Allegany County, New York. In looking at the entry for the Adams Family Cemetery for West Almond on the Allegany County Historical Society website I saw that Abiah's lone marker was laying on the ground, obviously in disrepair. I decided she needed to be memorialized on Find A Grave in hopes this venue would serve as a reminder of her burial location for anyone researching her family. Abiah's parents were Andrew Pingree and Abiah Straw, both of whom are buried in Kane County, Illinois. Abiah's Pingree ancestry ties to my own Pingrey family ancestry through our common ancestor Aaron Pengry (1651-1714) of Ipswich, Massachusetts (FAG #11558623 & 11558630). Her ancestry to Moses Pengry our immegrant ancestor is as follows: Her father Andrew, Francis, Job, Aaron, and Moses.
