She was born in Wellington County to William and Elizabeth Nelson. She married William Asie Kindree and they had eight children: Ernest Nelson Talmage, Herbert, William Harold, Earl, Victor, Almeda May, Catherine, and Pearl. Three of their sons; Ernest, William Harold, and Victor served in the CEF during WWI ... Ernest died overseas and is buried in Brussels Town Cemetery in Belgium.
