Abigail Macomber

Abigail Briggs married Josiah Macomber on March 30, 1784 but passed away less than thirteen months later, on April 26, 1785. Josiah's wartime experiences during the Revolution and the untimely demise of his wife had a less than salutary effect on Josiah's mental health. Per "History of the Town of Berkley, Massachusetts" -- "After the war, he became 'non compos mentis' and received a pension from 1818, by his guardian".
