His tombstone (photograph in Neil Rosenstein's book on The Margolis Family) confirms that his father's name was indeed Chaim: Avraham Tanchum Ben Chaim.
"... Abraham Abba Tanchum Henigson, was a wheat trader in Kalwariya. After several endeavors in the USA, including a retail clothing store (together with his son Isaac), he finally worked as executive secretary of the Machzikei Talmud Torah Congregation on East Broadway, the Lower East Side. His epitaph records (quoting Genesis) "Abraham was old, advanced in years" and how "he studied and supported Torah from his youth until his old age, deriving pleasure from the work of his own hand all of his days". "
"His second wife was Mollie (Leah Malka, daughter of Moses Samuel haLevi) who died in 1959 and is buried next to him. He had issue from his first wife only and the family settled in the New York area."
