About Abraham Arondeaux
[Arondeaux, Abraham (1)] ARONDEAUX (Abraham) (1), was the husband of Eva Elincx , the emmerik's mayor's daughter, from whom Prince William of Orange ± 1559 had fathered a natural son, Justin van Nassau. It is suspected that Abraham lived as a secretary in Hulst, and a son of his IsaacA., who stayed in Leiden and there Oct. 19. 1589 requested the magistrate to be appointed as a notary - in vain because the number was complete - so far as I see only the circumstance that in Hulst one is Isaac A., different or the same as the previous one, who is also known with Abraham himself was confused or otherwise mistaken for a brother of the elder David A. (Col. 183), after Maurice's conquest of Holly on Sept. 24. 1591 became registrar or secretary there in 1591 and remained until 1595, the city on Aug. 18. 1596 becoming Spanish again. An Isaac A., married to Cornelia van Wanseele , died when his son Justinus, born in Ghent, died on 29 Oct. 1616 banns at Midpelburg.
