One of the oldest and best respected residents of the Carcoar district crossed the great divide last Saturday, in the person of Mr. Abraham Cant, of Lyndhurst, but formerly of "Logguile", Garland. The deceased who was 83 years of age, came to Australia from the fen country of Lincolnshire, on the ship Great Britain, at the age of 8 years, and with his parents resided in the Maitland district. Sixty one years ago he married at Parramatta Catherine Martineau, and settled on the Manning River, where two children were born (since deceased).
