Evidence under Biography Abraham Cruttenden was born about 1584 in High Halden, Kent, England and died At Sea [6] in 1639 On Voyage To New Haven On Ship "S [7] He died at sea aboard the St. John en route from England to New Haven, CT in 1639. The family had previously set out on the Speedwell, a ship accompanying the Mayflower but due to a leakage had to return to England.

Abraham came with a wife Mary not an Elizabeth. He married second widow Joanna Chittenden his Kent England neighbor  married in Connecticut. She died 16 Aug 1668
