Rationale for merging Icek/Cyrla couples from Ostrowiec (Fajwel Kerbel was originally separated from Abram, Szymon Lejb, Mosiek and Frajda):

1 - Fajwel Kerbel's MR to Ruchla Wajnberg was recorded in Ozarow and his parents show up as Icek z Szimon and Cirla Chaimowicz. His MR to Hendla Sluwa Traub was also recorded in Ozarow and his parents show up as Icek and Cirla nee Rozenberg. It also refers to his former wife, Ruchla Wajnberg. Based on both MR's, Fajwel was born in 1857 in Denkow. 2 - BoR Denkow_Kerbel indicates Abram Kerbel was born to Icek and Cyrla Ickowicz in 1841 in Staw. Staw is also referred sometimes as Staw Denkowski, same place where Fajwel was born. Cyrla's surname could refer to her husband instead of her father. No BR or MR for Abram Kerbel. 3 - Ostrowiec Kerbels and Przepiorkas - Deaths indicates Szymon Lejb Kerbel was born to Icek and Cerkla circa 1845. Thus, it was assumed Szymon and Fajwel were brothers. Ancestry's Greenbaum_Kerbel_2011-11-06 tree also indicates so. This file also indicates Frajda was born to Icek Kerbel and Cyrla circa 1853, which is confirmed by her Ostrowiec BR in JRI-Poland. 4 - Mosiek's BR and MR indicate he was born in Ostrowiec in 1850 to Icek Hersz. His mother appears as Cyrla Katc (Katz?) in his MR. 5 - No MR was found for Icek and Cyrla. Conclusion: The above births ocurred all in Ostrowiec in 1841, 1845, 1850, 1853 and 1857. The likelyhood of them being from two different Icek Kerbel/Cyrla couples is very low. Therefore Fajwel can be considered a sibling to Abram, Szymon Lejb, Mosiek and Frajda. Record inconsistencies remain around Cyrla's maiden name, ie Katc (Katz?) and Rozenberg, assuming Ickowicz referred to her husband.
