

Abraham died at Newtown, Fairfield County, CT. 26 July 1727. Biographical sketch: It appears that Abraham remained in Stratford four years after selling his home and shop, and that his removal to Newtown took place in 1710. He was an original proprietor there, and the new town was incorporated in 1711.
"Administration on his estate was granted 26 July 1727 to son Abraham. Agreement to divide the estate of father Abraham Kimberly was made 17 May 1742 by Abraham Kimberly, John Lake and Abigail his wife, James Heard and Hannah his wife, Joseph Prindle and Sarah his wife, Thomas Leavenworth and Mary his wife, all of Newtown, Gideon Kimberly of Wilton, Thomas Kimberly of Woodbury, Josiah Smith and Prudence his wife of Stratford, and John Curtiss and Abiah his wife of Woodbury. "
