Abraham Owen Smoot, Jr.

(son of A. O. Smoot and Diana Eldredge). Born March 11, 1856, Sugar House ward, Salt Lake City.

   Married:	Electa Bullock October 30, 1878, Salt Lake City (daughter of Isaac Bullock and Electa Wood of Prove, Utah, former pioneer September, 1852, Isaac Bullock company, and the latter September, 1848, Gideon D. Wood company). She was born March 6, 1859.

   Their children:

           Abraham Owen born September 9, 1879, married Phoebe Campbell;

           Isaac Albert born November 3, 1880, married Nettie Parkinson;

           Allie born April 3, 1882, married Jacob Coleman;

           Electa born September 25, 1884, married LeRoy Dixon;

           Fern born March 23, 1885, married Wells L. Brimhall;

           Ethel born April 7, 1887.

   Family home Provo.

High counselor; missionary to England 1875-77. County assessor and collector; city councilman; state senator; secretary state Insane asylum and USA commissioner. Manager lumber company. Died May 20, 1911. Sources:
