About Abram Williams Livermore

From his Find A Grave page:

Rev. Billings was called to Oto Monday to preach the funeral sermon of Uncle Abe Livermore, who was 82 years of age. Mr. Livermore was one of the first settlers of the county, and used to be a familiar name in Southland. He lived for many years on the farm opened by him, midway between here and Oto. The old pioneers are going fast. The hardship they were forced to undergo in settling the country are beginning to tell now.

---

The funeral of Uncle Abe Livermore, which was held at the M.E. church Monday, was attended by about 300 of his old friends and neighbors. A large procession followed his remains to their last resting place. Thus another old settler has gone to his reward in the great beyond.

A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is stilled; a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled.

God in his wisdom has recalled the boon (?) his love has given and though his body slumbers now, the soul is safe in heaven.
