Mr. Spangenberger and myself have been 6 weeks ago in Switzerland at Steffisburg (Lake of Thun) and searched for our ancestors. We were very well satisfied with the results of our efforts. We had found the parents of Christian Farni in Wachenheim and of Niclas Farni in Durk- heim. The two were cousins. Their fathers were brothers. The parents of your ancestor Christian were: Adam Fami and Cathie Ruxegger. Christian was baptized on 26th July 1663, his brother Niclas on the 4th October 1688 and his brother John on 19 March 1671. The godfathers of Christian were: Christian Wertmuller and Christian Zimmermann of Steffisburg. Niclas Farni in Durkheim (Palatinate) was my ancestor who emigrated from Switzerland to the Palatinate. His parents were: Christian Farni and Madie Frick of Steffisburg. My searching for our an- cestors further backward will be continued.
