Mr. Ernest was born in Batavia, NY son of the late Louis Ernest and Mildred Clark. He is preceeded in death by Lawrence Ernest. Mr. Ernest retired from Trojan Industries in Batavia where he worked for 33 years retiring in 1991. He was a Korean War Army Veteran serving from 1948 to 1952. Mr. Ernest was a member of the VFW post #1602 in Batavia and a life member of the Stafford Fire Department and Exempts for over 44 years. Mr. Ernest was also an avid stock car fan and driver for many years.

His wife of 44 years Eleanor (Bolsei) Ernest of Stafford, NY; daughters Diane (Edward) Warriner of Stafford; Lisa (Christopher) Palmer of West Henrietta, NY; Julie (Ronald) Radley of Stafford; sisters Gertrude Woodrich of Batavia; sister-in-law Frances Ernest of Batavia; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren along with several neices and nephews.

Stafford Rural Cemetery.
