Aeneas/ Angus Grant b. abt. 1702 d. 1779, who his parents and grandparents were is unclear, but his great grandfather was Duncan Grant b. abt. 1630 d. abt. 1730, son of John of the Castle Grant. This Duncan Grant was first GRANT to acquire Wadset of Dundreggan/ Duldraeggan Glenmoriston Scotland and at age 100 had outlived his son and grandson who were both probably illegitimate. When Duncan died circa 1730, the Courts of the day ruled that his Heir at Law was this Aeneas/ Angus Grant, who held the Wadset until he died in 1779, leaving it to his eldest son John Duldreggan Grant b. 1737 d. 1802 in Glengarry Canada. John Roy Grant b. abt. 1704 was probably a brother of Aeneas/ Angus Grant, and John Roy Grant probably Transported to the Caribbean with about 80 other Grant and other Jacobites after Culloden 1746. Aeneas/ Angus married Hannah Grant b. 1717 d. 1801. Their children included Isabella Duldraeggan Grant who married Simon Fraser Sr.of Culbokie, who died 1779 at Albany NY as a Patriot Prisoner. Isabella relocated to St Andrews West Ontario with children which included Simon Fraser Jr. the Canadian Explorer. Daughter Janet Duldreggan Grant b. 1736 d. 1766 married Peter Grant of Isle of Skye, parents of Alexander Brewer Grant, Peter and Donald/ Duncan Grant fur traders, Henrietta Grant Clark, and Mary Grant only child to not emigrate to Canada. Son John Duldreggan Grant b. 1737 d. 1802 in Glengarry Canada, who had 17 kids with 3 women [16 kids lived in Glengarry], he arrived in Glengarry 1786, with 8 of his then 9 kids, married Mary McIntyre 1787 at Montreal, and had 8 kids with her. John acquired 400 acres Lots 25&26 Street Road Charlottenburg Glengarry. John's eldest illegitimate son was Alexander Alex Grant b. 1756 d. 1851, who at age 30 when they arrived acquired his own 100 acres in Glengarry, which he traded to his father John for East half Lot 26 Street Road. Another of this John's sons was called the Honourable Alexander Grant of L'Original where he ran a fur trading post called Duldraeggan Hall.

The GRANT family held the WADSET of Duldraeggan/Dundreggan Scotland from the 1600s to 1785, when John Duldraeggan Grant 1737-1802, emigrated to Canada (Glengarry). John was Uncle to Peter Grant of Lachine (1764-1848) and also Uncle to Simon Fraser Jr. (Canadian Explorer).
