Agnes went to Oklahoma Unv. in Norman, Ok got her education in teaching and home Ed.
She was a Home Demonstration Agent for several Countys. In 1958 she met Floyd Medders thru a fellow agent in Washita Co. After her year was finished in Ellis Co. She moved to Washita Co on Floyd's farm and taught school at Lake Valley until the school closed and she went to Port High School and retired from there. Agnes taken on the Medders children and grandchildren like they were her very own. She loved the small children and like a teacher that she was, she had them busy all the time. The farm was a little different to her but she fit right in..After the death of Floyd, she stayed on at the farm with her dogs and cats until a car accident sent her to the hospital and from there she went into the advance living apartments at the Baptist Village in Cordell, Ok. She had her car there but soon let it go as driving wasn't what it was before the accident. In Janurary 1995 the Dr. advised that she was early sign of Alshamers and would have to leave the Villiage. On January 6, 1995 Agnes entered the Broken Bow Nursing Home in Broken Bow, Ok so that she would be near her step-daughters, Wynell and Nela. Agnes would go shopping or just riding around with the girls until she became bed fast and couldn't go.
Agnes was a great worker in the Church and wanted to be buried in the Odessa Cemetery with Floyd and his first wife Lucy.
