About 'Aka of the Qarakhanids
NOTE: She is referred to as the daughter of Yusuf Qadir-Khan in Toghril I's Wikipedia page.
- from Continuity and Change in Medieval Persia by Ann K.S. Lambton:
The purpose of marriages within the Saljuq family was only partly, if at all, political. A rather curious case is the marriage of Alp-Arslan to Toghril Beg’s widow Aka, whom he married on arriving in Ray on Toghril’s death. These marriages were perhaps sometimes made with the intention of controlling younger members of the family.
