Gift 07-12-1789 med enkemannen Ola Olsen Eikeland på Eikeland i Time. Dei flyttet til Njå br 24 «Ægro» i 1792 der dei sida budde. Dei fekk 10 barn.

Aksleiane Kristine was named for her father’s first wife. She grew up at Lye in Time parish. She wanted to marry Ole Eikeland but her father didn’t want her to marry a peasant boy. She was sent to relatives in Denmark. Ole married someone else and moved to “Egro på Njaa” – one of the homes on the Njaa farmstead. His wife soon died, and when Akseliane heard it she sailed on a ship for Stavanger, met a man from Time and was allowed to go with him on his way home getting off at Njaa. She was there three weeks before her father knew she had come home. She told her father that he could now see that it was God’s will that she should have Ole, so her father married them, and she moved to “Egro på Njaa”, where she lived the rest of her life.

At Egro – to the north one could see all of Jaren “innovermot” (toward) Ullandhaug, and on clear days a glimpse of “Ryfylkefjella” mountains in the country. To the south, Lye and the Vestly farms, and a little of the church steeple. To the east, the Njaa mountains in the background

The pastor’s daughters in those days were called “jomfruene på Lye.”
