26 February 1495: Charter by which John, Lord Sempill, confirms that he has given the lands of Dikebar, Castelbar, and Mathobar in the barony of Renfrew and sheriffdom thereof to Alan Stewart and Mariote his wife. Lord Sempill's charter was confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 1 April 1499. RMS: 2485

26 July 1496: Charter by which Isobelle Norvell, with consent of her son and heir Alexander Stewart, confirms that she has sold and alienated one half of the lands of Cardonald and Wrichtland, in the barony of Renfrew and sheriffdom thereof, to Alan Stewart, son of the deceased John, Earl of Lennox, Lord Darnley, and Mariote Stewart his spouse. The land is to be held by Alan and Mariote and their male heirs, whom failing it was to return to Isobelle Norvell's heirs. RMS: 2485
