Albert Joseph Kordys

Was a barber and later began undertaking. Other nickname "Nick". Albert Kordys and Anton Wojcieszak worked together in their funeral home until a dispute separated the business relationship. They each opened up their own funeral home on the same street. Kordys funeral home was built in 1908 at 1501 Lincoln Ave. After Albert's wife, Josephine, died in 1936, His daughter Helen and son-in-law Alphonse Konieczka worked with him. Albert's wife, Josephine Wojcieszak, is the sister of Agnes Kordys husband, Anton William Wojcieszak. · In December of 1995 The Kordys Funeral Home located at South 15th St. and West Lincoln Ave. also joined Janssen-Molenda Funeral Home. Albert was a member of six Polish and business related societies.
