About Albert Lasseigne
Notary and Abstractor of Titles. Born three miles from Thibodaux, LA, April 17, 1869. Attended Jefferson College, St. James Parish, LA, St. Stanislaus' College, Bay St. Louis, MS, and Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. For the past 35 years he has applied himself to success as a notary and abstractor of titles and is esteemed as one of the most reliable authorities relative to land ownership in a state where titles are exceedingly difficult to establish, because of the numerous changes of government under which Louisiana has been held and owned by various countries prior to her becoming an American colony and finally a state. At the present time, he is associated with the Bowie Lumber Co., Ltd., Thibodaux, LA as notary and abstractor of titles for their exclusive account. He has served his section politically also. Was State representatives from Lafourche Parish on the Progressive Democratic ticket. He has since returned to the fold of the Regular Democrats.
