About Albert Russell
Albert was educated in the district schools of Bridport, leaving to head west at age 16. He worked for several years as lumberman, drover and ranchman in in Illinois, Michigan and Iowa.
He returned at length to his native place and married Emma Hallock, 1870, a school teacher. He bought a farm in Monkton in 1870. He was an active and prominent Republican, holding many offices of trust and honor in the town.
He was a member of the Society of Friends.
