Aldo (Arezzo family ancestor)

The Arezzo family settled in Sicily in the 12th century – around 1130 – in which period Aldo I, coming from Rome, appears at the service of King Roger. Later on this lead to the establishments of many family branches and lineages, initially in Siracusa, later in Ragusa then in Palermo, alongwith investitures of many noble titles in addition to being rewarded with manors (Cardinal 1392 Targia, S. Giuliano, Crocifia, Serri, Calamezzana, Donnafugata, Celano, Trifiletti, S.Filippo of Columns , Gaddimeli, etc.).
