About Aletta Elizabeth (ii) Coertze, b1c13
Tulbagh Baptism Record (No.69)
Baptised on the same day as her brother, Jan Lodewyk
According to her death notice she died 21 Jul 1876 at age of 86 years,10 months,18 days her birth date had to have been 3 Sep 1879. So by this reckoning it is the younger Aletta Elizabeth Coertze who married van Eck and Bekker

Roelof Coetze and Francina Christina Cordier had TWO daughters, both named Aletta Elizabeth, namely Aletta Elizabeth (i) (b1c10) (* 1783) and Aletta Elizabeth (ii) (b1c13) (* 1792). According to GISA's SAF Vol 6, b1c10 x BOTHA and b1c13 x VAN ECK.
I very much doubt that SAF Vol 6 can be correct in this instance. Surely the second daughter would only have been given the same name as her older sister if the older daughter had died early, in which case both BOTHA and VAN ECK might have been married to b1c13.
The chances that BOTHA and VAN ECK were both married to the older sister (b1c10) seems rather remote to me.
