Alexander Gourley was born in Londonderry, county Derry, Ireland, the son of George Gourley and Rosanna McNeil. He married Margaret C. Gillespie on November 1, 1838. Margaret died in 1864. Alexander remarried Margaret Ann Henry on March 26, 1865. He died in Perry Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
