    Conde Alexandre de Saldanha da Gama was born in 1920 at Vienna, Austria. He was the son of Conde Jose-Luiz de Saldanha da Gama and Helene Gräfin von und zu Eltz gennant Faust von Stromberg. He married Eleonore Schluter in 1947 at Madrid, Spain. He died in 1960 at Colares, Portugal.
