3. ALEXIOS Megas Komnenos ([1335/37]-[before 1349]). The Chronicle of Michael Panaretos records that "his sons, the lord Alexios and the lord Kalojannes, were sent…along with their mother" to Constantinople after the death of "the emperor lord Basil the Grand Komnenos" in 1340[105]. It is assumed that he died before his younger brother´s accession in 1349.
