About Alfred Gottheiner

Alfred Gottheiner born 21st June 1874, designed the AOK Building in Berlin, now known as Haus am Köllnischen Park. In many texts and books this project has been credited to his cousin Albert Gottheiner who was also an architect.

Alfred was a well-known architect during the 20's but in 1933 he was banned from working in architecture by the Nazi's. He was killed by Storm Troopers in 1940 in front of his Berlin home. "Beaten to death in front of his wife,"
