BURBANK —Alice Irene Farner, 88 of Burbank, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 at Burbank Parke Care Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Creston on August 1, 1930 to the late Blaine J. and Alice (Graf) Hershberger and was a graduate of West Salem High School. She married Milo E. Farner on March 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1980. She had made her home in Wadsworth for many years and had worked at the Ohio Match Co., Wadsworth Hospital and Westfield Insurance Co.
She is survived by two son, David and Mark; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Florence Dunkle and brothers, Harry, Ralph, Clyde, Russell, Floyd, Harold and Glenn Hershberger.
Per Irene’s request, there will be no services and burial will be beside her husband at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
