Alice Gardner

Daughter of Stephen Fuller and Hannah Moulton.

Wife of John Abbott, married November 4, 1762, Windham, CT. John was born in 1741 and died in 1778, PA when he was killed by Indians near his home. Alice was destitute and forced to walk the 300 miles back to her CT home with her 9 surviving children. Alice returned to Plains, PA years later and married Stephen Gardiner.

Wife of Stephen Gardiner, III, son of Stephen Gardiner, Jr. and Frances Congdon. Alice and Stephen were married about 1785 in Pennsylvania. They are buried together.
