About Alice Nelmes
Born before 1649 to John Palmer and Sarah, Joseph Palmer married Alice Genesis about 1684. She was John Hudnall’s widow, and married again, after Joseph’s death before 23 June 1704, to Charles Nelmes.
The three children of Alice Genesis and John Hudnall were:
- 1 Richard Hudnall (1 Nov 1680 - 19 Apr 1732)
- 2 Deborah Hudnall (7 Nov 1682 - 14 Nov 1757)
- 3 John Hudnall (10 Apr 1679 - 11 Mar 1754)

Petition of Alice (Genesis) Hudnall, Executrix of Ezekiel Genesis, deceased, probate on will to her by oaths of John Hughlett & Edward White. October 17, 1784- Ezekiel Genesis by will bequeathed to Ezekiel Hill & Partain Hudnall 5,000 lbs of tobacco which by Isaac Hester was to pay him, for a tract of land. Alice Hudnall, Executrix of Ezekiel Genesis to have Hill & Hudnall pay debts. (These orders support the notion that Alice (Genesis) Hudnall was the second wife of John Hudnall) . November 6, 1689- Ezekiel Genesis, deceased, by will dated 2 April 1684 bequeathed to Partin Hudnall & Ezekiel Hill a tract on the south side of Great Wiccomico River & Ezekiel Hill be since deceased, Robert Hill, brother and heir to ye said Ezekiel Hill hath broutht his action to this court verses the said Partin Hudnall for equal portion of the laid land. Partin Hudnall appeals to the General Court. James Hill & William Harcum bond for Robert Hill for the appeal. John Haynie & Richard Haynie give bond for Partin Hudnall for appeal. November 2, 1683- "Com. of Adm. to Alice
Hudnall on Est. of her deed. Husband John Hudnall. Alice Hudnall & John Downing sign the bond. Mr. Richard Nuttt, John Dunaway, George Dawkins and Roger Hambleton to App. Lst." April 17, 1689-"Robert Hill, brother and heir of Ezekiel Hill vs. Partin Hudnall, dismissed".
