Allie McElroy
March 11, 1928 - May 20, 2019 Mrs. Allie McIntosh Perry McElroy, 91, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, May 20, 2019, at the Kenwood Health & Rehab.
She was born in Powell County, Kentucky on March 11, 1928 to the late Lillie and Lula Sons McIntosh. Allie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her love of family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, working with her flowers, and was a great cook. Allie was a member of the Newby Baptist Church.
In 1964 she married Ollie Joe McElroy and together they enjoyed 54 years together until he passed away in January.
Survivors include: three sons, Donald Wayne McElroy (Nannie), Douglas Wayne Perry (Shellye), and Arnold Perry, Jr. (Kathy); four daughters, Sondra Jo Hallinan (Howard), Pat Joines (Henry), Brenda Turner, and Barbara Harsch (John); one brother, James McIntosh (Mary); two sisters, Mary McClure (John) and Ella Cruse; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Bobby McElroy; and a special family member whom she raised, Pat Spicer; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; one son, Paul David McElroy; two grandsons, Jeffrey Wayne Perry and William Phillip McElroy; two sons-in-laws, Eddie Ramsey and Billy Turner; one brother, Morris McIntosh; three sisters, Lucille Cruse, Lida Cruse and Ethel Puckett.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Pastor Scott Guiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Woody Proffitt, Steve Ramsey, Zachery Perry, Jonathon Harsch, JC Benton and Brad Perry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
