Almeda Aomia Kiser

Almeda Aomia Waugh Kiser, after a lengthly illness, when she said “Jesus said it wasn’t her time to go,” He finally called her and took her home with him to His house on October 26, 2004.

Mrs. Kiser was born in Borders Draft, WV on December 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Warden E. and Nellie Viola [Dixon] Waugh. She worked for eighteen years as a housekeeper at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Perrypoint, MD, and also at Augusta Military Academy, VA. After making her home in Port Deposit, Cecil County, MD for 33 years, the family returned to Virginia, residing at Weyers Cave.

Mrs. Kiser leaves to cherish her fond memories: her husband, Wade Andrew Kiser; her five children, Leonard Andrew Kiser & his wife Carol, of Verona, VA; Larry Allen Kiser & his wife Pat, of Tucson, AZ; Danial Alvin Kiser, and his wife Kathy, of Elkton, MD; Randy Alford Kiser, of Mt. Sidney, VA; a daughter, Aomia Almeda Sage & her husband, Roger of Perryville, MD; twelve grandchildren; Torry Kiser, Dana Saunders, Katherine Carroll, John Kiser, Richard Kiser, Charles Kiser, Stephen Kiser, Tanya Lucas, Michael Kiser, Felecia Kiser, Natasha Kiser, Anna Sage, and a host of great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved friends and other relatives to cherish her fond memories.

Mrs. Kiser was preceded in death by her sisters; Freda, Opal, Nora, and her brothers; Elmer and Harry. Surviving her is her younger brother, Warden Waugh of Hawaii.
