ALVARETTA CORBRIDGE ROBINSON Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - Thursday, January 18, 1990 Alvaretta Corbridge Robinson, 83, of Salt Lake City, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 1990, at the LDS Hospital of natural causes.
She was born June 4, 1906 in Minersville, Utah, the daughter of William and Hannah Cornford Corbridge . She married Wilford John Robinson, April 4, 1924 in Minersville, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized June 5, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 6, 1975. She received her education in Minersville, Utah and spent most of her life in Minersville and Beaver, Utah. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving and teaching in leadership positions in all auxilaries. She has written many poems and wrote and published a book on the history of Minersville, They Answered The Call. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors: sons and daughters, Roldo James Robinson, Tooele, Utah; Genieve Clark, Holladay, Utah; Mrs. Richard (Larena) Schwab, Park City, Utah; George F. Robinson, Lehi, Utah. She was deeply loved and adored by 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandson. Preceded in death by 17 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, 1990, at 1 p.m., in the Minersville LDS Ward Chapel, Minersville, Utah. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Beaver, Utah. Goff Mortuary, Funeral Directors.
