Amanda H. Hershberger

HOLMESVILLE -- Amanda H. Miller, 67, of 7154 Township Road 525, Holmesville, died Sunday morning, April 12, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family after seven years of kidney dialysis.

She was born Oct. 31, 1947 near Mount Hope to Henry H. and Fannie (Raber) Hershberger and married Henry J. Miller on Oct. 12, 1971. He survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish.

Surviving in addition to her husband, she was the beloved mother of Mary Miller of Millersburg, Fannie Miller, Miriam Miller and Jacob (Miriam) Miller of the home; Katie (Raymond) Miller Jr. and Henry (Viola) Miller of Holmesville and Reuben (Ruth Ann) Miller of Fredericksburg; and grandmother of Anthony, Henry Jay, Isaac, Joshua, Marianna, Marnita, Jonathon, Wilmer, Reuben, Verna, Jay Mark, Amanda, Jeremiah, Leah, Hannah, Josiah, Erik, Elijah and Wendal. Also surviving are a sister, Mary (Henry) Mast of Pleasureville, Kentucky; brothers, Alvin (Katie) Hershberger of Dundee and Andy (Fannie) Hershberger of Millersburg; a sister-in-law, Martha Hershberger of Millersburg; stepbrothers, Alvin (Sara) Beachy and John (Mary) Beachy of Millersburg; and stepsisters, Bena Miller of Millersburg and Malinda Yoder of Barrs Mills.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, stepmother, Katie; a grandson, Andrew; a brother, Joas Hershberger; and stepbrothers-in-law, Joe Miller and Henry Yoder.

Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Miller residence, with Bishop Emanuel Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Ripley Township.
