She was the granddaughter of Tabler Christian Vineyard and Annie Haddox. Some of the children of Tabler and Annie used the spelling of the name as Vinyard, or Viniard, while others stayed with Vineyard. The name was originally Weinert before emigration to the United States from Germany.

She was born Oct 3, 1885 in Bowie County, Texas, the daughter of Winfield Scott Vinyard and Mary Jane Mouser.
She married William D. McInnish April 4, 1910, in Bowie County, Texas.
