Mrs. Amelia Walter, 72, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. M. Manny, 431 cutler street, of a complication of diseases incident to advanced age.
Amelia Goodknecht, daughter of John and Amelia Goodknecht, was born July 2, 1863, at Harvard, Ill. On July 9, 1901, she was married to Charles Walter at Harvard. He preceded her in death about 27 years ago.
Surviving besides Mrs. Manny are two sons, Otto J. Walter, San Francisco, and Elmer W. Walter, 412 Moir street; two grandchildren; three brothers, T. C. and E. T. Goodknecht, Harvard, and William Goodknecht, Parkersburg, and one sister, Mrs Charles Englehard, Sharon, Wis.
One son died in infancy and two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kearns chapel, Rev. Henry Mueller, pastor of First Lutheran church, in charge. The body will be taken to Harvard, where there will be a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with burial in the family lot in Auburn cemetery.
