Amos Greathouse, died, October 17, 1911, at the age of 98.

He was born in Gleneaston, Marshall county, West Virginia, May 12, 1813. And was married in 1847, to Martha Chambers, who died two weeks later. He was married again in 1850, to Mary A. Lewellyn in Pennsylvania, and three boys and one girl were born. The two boys are living.

In 1893, he married Cinda M Haught, and one boy was born, Code E. Greathouse.

He was a soldier for three years joining the army in 1862, Company B, 12th Regiment W. Va. Volunteers.
