• Amphilicia Neville was born circa 1459 at of Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, England; She had married (1) William Gaskell, by whome she had 1 son (William) and 1 daughter (Margaret, wife of George Stapleton).1,2 She married John Newdigate, Esq., son of John Newdigate, Esq. and Elizabeth Yonge, circa 1489; They had 9 sons (John, Esq; Charles; William; Sebastian, Carthusian monk; Anthony; Silvester; George; Dunstan; & Bonaventure) & 5 daughters (Jane, wife of Sir Robert Dormer; Mary, a nun at Syon; Barbara, wife of John Crugg, Gent; Dorothy, wife of Sir Leonard Chamberlain; & Sibyl, a nun at Holywell).1,2 Amphilicia Neville died on 15 July 1544.1,2 She was buried on 16 July 1544 at Harefield, Middlesex, England.1,2

• 14. AMPHYLLIS NEVILLE, daughter and heiress. She married (1st) WILLIAM GASGILL (or GAISGILL, GASKELL). They had one son, William, and one daughter, Margaret (wife of George Stapleton). WILLIAM GASKILL left a will dated 24 Sept. 1485, proved 3 Nov. 1485 (P.C.C. 17 Logge). His widow, Amphyllis, married (2nd) about 1489 JOHN NEWDIGATE, Esq. of Harefield, Middlesex, Serjeant-at-law, son and heir of John Newdigate, Esq., of Harefield, Middlesex, Crawley, Sussex, etc., Serjeant-at-law, by Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Yonge, Gent., of Shirehampton near Bristol, and London, Justice of the Common Pleas, Justice of the King's Bench. They had nine sons, John, Esq., Charles, William, [Blessed] Sebastian [Carthusian monk, Catholic martyr], Anthony, Silvester, George, Dunstan, and Bonaventure, and five daughters, Jane, Mary [nun at Syon], Barbara (wife of John Crugg, Gent.), Dorothy (wife of Leonard Chamberlain, Knt.), and Sibyl [nun at Holywell]. He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1483. About 1520 he and his wife, Amphyllis, sold the manor of Sutton, together with lands in Skegness, Winthorpe, and Burch, Lincolnshire, to William Smyth, LL.D., Archdeacon of Lincoln. JOHN NEWDIGATE, Esq., died 15 Aug. 1528, and was buried at Harefield, Middlesex. He left a will dated 23 June 1528, proved 25 Aug. 1528 (P.C.C. 37 Porch). His widow, Amphyllis, died 15 July 1544, and was buried at Harefield, Middlesex 16 July 1544.

She married in 1512 ROBERT DORMER, Knt., of Ascott (in Wing), Buckinghamshire, Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, 1522-3, 1531-2, 1538-9, Burgess (M.P.) for Chipping Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, 1529, Justice of the Peace for Buckinghamshire, 1536-52, King's servant, Marshall and Keeper of the Falcons, son and heir of William Dormer, Esq., by West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, woodman, by his 1st wife, Jane, dauather and co-heirss of John Launcelyn, Knt., born 1485-6. • Sebastian Newdigate, O.Cart., (7 September 1500 – 19 June 1535) was the seventh child of John Newdigate, Sergeant-at-law. He spent his early life at court, and later became a Carthusian monk. He was executed for treason on 19 June 1535 for his refusal to accept Henry VIII's assumption of supremacy over the Church in England. His death was considered a martyrdom, and he was beatified by the Catholic Church.
• Sebastian Newdigate, born 7 September 1500 at Harefield, Middlesex, was the seventh of the fourteen children[1] of John Newdigate (d. 15 August 1528), esquire, Sergeant-at-law in 1510 and King's Serjeant in 1520, and Amphyllis Neville (d.1544), daughter and heiress of John Neville of Rolleston, Nottinghamshire, 'a kinsman of the Earls of Westmorland'.[2][3]

• Jane Dormer, born at Eythrope near Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. on 6 January 1538,[1] was the daughter of Sir William Dormer (d. 17 May 1575) of Wing, Buckinghamshire, by his first wife, Mary Sidney (died 10 February 1542),[2] the daughter of Sir William Sidney of Penshurst, Kent, and Anne Pakenham. She had two brothers, Thomas Dormer and Robert Dormer, and a sister, Anne Dormer, who married Sir Walter Hungerford.
