Russian-born Baron, also known as Andrey Lvovich Knoop. His father, Ludvig Knop, was born in Bremen and came to Russia as a representative of English jersey company. He settled in Russia, becoming a Russian citizen and became a baron. His son, Andrew, was a high-ranking court official in Russia and was also actively involved in business and trade. He died at Iwedale Nursing Home, Kent, England.
