About Andrew (Anders) Adams
Anders emigrated to the US in 1884. He was as a farmer and a painter in Chicago until 1887. In 1895 he started his own business dealing with building materials and elevators together with his brother Henry Adams (Henrik Andersen Langeland) and later 1895 with Torbjørn Engelson Waterdal from Elsåkerskåro, Norway. The company was called Adams Bros Co The Building Material and Elevator Manufacturers in 355 31st Street Chicago.
