About Andrew Morrison Bryan

In 1773 Andrew received 156 acres from the large tract on Molly's Creek.

   He was in the French and Indian Wars, at the Battle of Great meadows and Fort
   Necessity, and was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, having served in Capt.
   LEFTWICH'S Co., Col. CHRISTIE.
   He sold the land on Molly's Creek to his brother John. He was in NC in 17?3, returned
   to Campbell Co., VA, and shortly after the War of 1812, in which most of the men of
   the family served, the family moved to OH as the result of Bounty Lands to
   Revolutionary War Veterans. They settled in Greene Co. OH near their children where
   they died.

2. Gail Erickson reports 20 Apr as date of death as do McGrew and McMurtry.

(date of 29 Apr 1821 came from another source.)

4. Patricia Forrest - Possible that the Johnson girls that married three of the sons were cousins.

In 1772 when Andrew Morrison was 23, he married Mary Akers, 3702, F, daughter of William Akers III, 4273, M (1730-1810) & Elizabeth Martye, 4274, F, in Campbell Co., VA. Born on 15 Mar 1754 in Campbell Co., VA. Mary died in Jamestown, Greene Co., OH, on 17 Feb 1823; she was 68. Buried in Old Silver Creek Cemetery, Greene Co, OH.
