ANDREW GIBSON

His Mother's Last Will and Testament

Mause Primprose made her last will and testament on 20 November 1570. She nominated and appointed her brothers, Archibald Primrose and David Primrose, as her executors and intromitters, and left all her goods and gear to be divided between her three younger children, viz. Andrew Gibson, Henry Gibson and Jonet Gibson. Her eldest son David Primrose, who inherited his father's heritage land, is not mentioned in her testament. Confirmation was granted to Archibald and David Primrose on 14 December 1570.
