Andrew Victor McLaglen Junior, II

It is important to differentiate between Andrew V McLaglen Senior: the famous Hollywood director and his son of the same name, but with the Jnr at the end. Andrew Jnr looked very much like his mother Veda Anne McLaglen (nee Borg).

Veda Anne Borg was an actress who was very versatile, both in serious drama, or straight comedy or Musical Comedy, or as a dancer and singer. She was in Guys and Dolls as one of the chorus girls. She was good at playing brassy loud characters or sweet romantic girls. In "The Alamo", directed and produced by John Wayne, Veda played the blind lady who was escorted out of the fortress, before the battle and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Such extreme and vastly differing characters in film, is taken on by actresses who like a challenge.
