About Andrija Aleši
Andrea Alessi (Albanian: Andrea Nikollë Aleksi, Croatian: Andrija Aleši, 1425–1505) was an Albanian-born architect who spent much of his adult life based in Split where he owned several properties. Considered one of the most distinguished sculptors of Dalmatia in his heyday, he worked extensively throughout Dalmatia and on the Adriatic coastline of Italy. He was buried in the church of the Holy Spirit in Split.
