Darby Darby, Angela Lee passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. She was born in Greenwich Village, New York, NY, to the late Calogero and Calogera Cappello. She attended New York College, and had a 40 year career with Macy s Department Store on New York s famous 5th Avenue. She lived in Elmhurst, NY and enjoyed a summer home in Ridgefield, CT until retiring to South Florida. Lee, as she preferred to be called, was pre-deceased by her first husband, Homer Edmondson, in 1993. She was remarried to Harry Darby for 10 wonderful years, until his passing in 2004. Lee and Harry Darby were excellent dancers and very active in the Fort Lauderdale and Gold Coast Shrine Clubs. Lee is survived by her stepson and his wife Gregory and Karen Darby in Fort Lauderdale, FL. ; her stepdaughter and her husband Carol and Don Kvingedal, Los Altos, CA; her sister and husband, Maria and JR Carlson, Westminster,SC. Lee is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased in death by her brothers, Guy and Charles Cappello. Funeral Services for Angela Lee Darby will be held at 5:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 N. Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Entombment will be in Boca Raton Mausoleum. The family would personally like to thank Elizabeth Mulgrave, her caring and dedicated nurse and companion for her love and support.
