Her marriage, to the younger brother of the late Baudouin I Latin Emperor of Constantinople, was arranged by her father to seal his alliance with the Latin Empire[57]. It is assumed that she was the daughter of Mikhael's first marriage in view of the date of her betrothal, although it is not impossible that she was still an infant at the time and therefore born from his second marriage.
