About Ann Darnall

Ann Digges was born about 1685 to William Digges and Elizabeth (Sewall) Wharton. Her father was a politician in Colonial Virginia and a councillor in Colonial Maryland in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries.[1]

Her father, William Digges, died on 24 July 1697, leaving a will which mentioned several large Maryland plantations "and directed that his plantation on the York River be used most advantageously for his daughters." However, the York River plantation was inherited by William's eldest son Edward, who on 21 Sept 1699 sold it to his uncle Dudley, William's younger brother.[2]

Ann Digges who married Henry Damall (1682-1759), son of Henry Darnall (ca. 1645-1711), and Mary[3]

  4. Ann (Darnall) Bradford b. Abt 1712, Prince George's County, Maryland d. Aft 1733, Prince George’s, Maryland. Married John Bradford.

She was mentioned in the will of her father.[6]
