GALESBURG, April 12.—Mrs. Ann Eliza Decker, wife of William Decker, a conductor on the C. & W. M. railroad, died at her residence near this village this morning, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was a daughter of the late Hugh M. Shafter, who came to this township from Vermont in 1833 and the widow of the late Capt. Job. H. Aldrich who was killed at the battle of Nashville in 1861. She leaves her husband, two sons and one daughter and three sons of her first union, the later all residing in California; also three brothers, Col. W. R. Shafter, U. S. A., James N.
