Noted first that Absalom was the son of Samuel Gasque and "unknown" Dozier.
"Absalom's second wife was a Miss Davis, and had Susan, the wife of Val. Dozier Ervin, killed at Cold Harbor, Va., in 1864. (Manager's note: Valentine Dozier was killed in Beaufort, SC and buried at Beaufort National Cemetery. Ervin was killed at Gaines Mill. See their profile for verification.) Samuel married Cade Thomas' daughter, and lives in Britten's Neck."
