Dr. Nathaniel Tolman 1691-1729; He was a Physicion in Needham, a member of the Church of Christ, signing the Covenent in 1719 0r 1720. He administered to the poor in the town. He was 38 years old when he died. His youngest child, Abial was born Posthumously 20 April 1730 and died 8 May 1730 at Needham and buried there.
His wife Anne (Rice) was only 46 when she died.
She married 20 April 1731 Nathaniel Ayres, who had 3 small children by his 1st wife and she was left with 6 small children. By Ayres she had John, Nathan and Aaron.
The administration of Nathaniel's estate was granted to her. She"deceased without having fully administered thereon." Her son, Nathaniel was appointed 27 February 1742. Her estate was divided in 1741. To son Nathaniel Tolman, buildings and land and he to make payments to brothers and sisters, Ebenezer, Thomas, Jemima, Mary, and their half brother John Ayres. In 1737 Eleazer Kingsbury was guardian of Jemima and Ebenezer. Jonathan Smith was guardian of Mary. In 1743 Thomas was 15 years old and chose Timothy Kingsbury as his guardian.
